First Attempt Indesign

This is the first attempt of the front cover for my magazine. I chose this image because it's bold, unordinary and sums up the main theme of the magazine - Festivals. The figures blond hair gave me the idea to produce yellow writing for the sub titles. I found it quite difficult to place the text in an appropriate position which went well with the chosen image and I still don't quite like the way it is places in this attempt. The logo goes well with the image. It's dark shape contrasts well with the white backdrop of the image. I made it overlap the figure's head which is a common convention for a magazine cover. In the top right hand corner of the magazine cover, I have included the date, the issue number and a 'magazine of the year' sign which, again, are all common conventions of a magazine. I have also took note that I am missing a bar code which is important to include if I was to make my magazine look convincing.
